Hardox® Wearparts center is a brand of a partner sales network of high-quality, abrasion-resistant steel, produced by SSAB - the Scandinavian metallurgical company. The invitation for the Glinkowski Group is the result of appreciating the competence and experience in processing sheets from the Hardox® line, used in the production of buckets for construction excavators.
The globally operating steel company SSAB is a specialized manufacturer of Advanced High-Strength Steel (AHSS) and Quenched and Tempered steels (Q&T) in the form of strips, plates and tubes as well as solutions for the construction industry. Due to the annual production capacity of SSAB’s production plants in Sweden, Finland and the USA amounting to 8.8 million tons of steel, the company is one of the world leaders in steel production, listed on the Stockholm and Helsinki stock exchanges.
The Hardox® brand, in the SSAB offer, means specialized abrasion-resistant steel with exceptional resistance, used e.g. in construction and mining. The Hardox® marking on steel products has become synonymous with superior strength all around the world; it also strengthens the manufacturer's reputation. Hardox® steel processing establishes high demands on machining.
- We have been using structural steel produced by SSAB for a long time, but we had to learn how to work with Hardox® abrasion-resistant steel, learn how it behaves in different conditions and we had to undergo appropriate trainings - says Hubert Glinkowski, co-owner of GLINKOWSKI company - Today, after several years of use, we consider ourselves specialist also in this area. - he adds.
In the Glinkowski Group, SSAB structural high-strength construction steel (S355, S700) is used in the production of horse carriages supporting elements, while Hardox® abrasion-resistant steel with a hardness of 450HB is used by the GRAXX brand in the production of buckets for construction excavators.
- We produce a lot of specialized construction buckets for Scandinavian customers - says Hubert Glinkowski, co-owner of GLINKOWSKI company - Buckets equipped with Hardox® steel elements are a prerequisite of this cooperation - he adds.
The application to invite the Glinkowski Group to the Hardox® Wearparts center network, which guarantees to potential customers the highest quality in the field of Hardox® steel processing, had to be approved by the management of the Swedish company.
The network is currently formed by 500 service points around the world, and only 10 of them in Poland. The Glinkowski Group is just the second network point in Wielkopolska region that has the right to use the Hardox® Wearparts center marking. For the group, being a member of the network means, above all, the opportunity to offer Hardox® steel processing services.
- We provide welding, machining and cutting services on numerically controlled machines - says Hubert Glinkowski, co-owner of GLINKOWSKI company - We invite all companies that would like to use Hardox® abrasion- resistant steel in their production to cooperate with us - he adds.
